this story stinks..... so these kids were just chilling on the tracks? walking rings and all? i suppose its not impossible that this was merely a case of negligence but if the mother killed her kids for whatever reason the train would have done a good job of destroying the evidence.

Sounds like the walking ring fell over the edge and the other tried to save him. There's two children in the complex here of similiar age, sometimes their dad pops in for a visit here. I've seen it happen so many times, the dad and I will be chatting, he'll turn his back for not even 10 seconds and the two year old is out of the door and down the passage. I feel for the mother and I can understand how quickly children can get a way from you. She'll live with this unfortunately. At least they died quickly.

I'm amazed people still use walkers. They serve no useful purpose.

F when i was a kid my parents never watched me every minute of the day. Shame what an absolutely horrific way to start their weekend. We played cricket in the road, walked down to the park. My parents allowed us to roam unattended most of the time.

And that's as it should be. We have become ridiculously paranoid and risk averse these days.
