This in it self got me to that conclusion. The post I made had nothing do with with anything other than explaining how some people made an effort to further themselves over massive hurdles and WON. Then you wanted me to try and explain to you as to why I made such a statement. Calling it idiotic. So I explained how I came to that conclusion. They got the same kind of education as the rest of SA. We were also fed the propaganda bull****. They just had the harshest places to learn in. They never had Massive schools and mint classrooms. But they had schools and they had teachers.

Sorry but here you compared the levels of education by lumping them all in the same basket so hence why i thought you were comparing the two. They didn't just have harsher places to learn in, they also did not have books, poor teacher training and were only taught certain things which would prove useful when they grew up and looked for work as the government could use them for their own purpose. They weren't really afforded the chance to become intelligent well rounded individuals. They were also forced to become christianised, and were force-fed that whites were superior and they were no better than animals. They had overpopulated schools and only received education betwen 11am and 2pm and then the next lot of children would get taught. That's not much of an education if you ask me. Thank God they now have the chance to rectify this.

I don't think that's the argument. The thing is that many non-whites have succeeded in spite of being lumped with a shtty bantu education system . Why are they different? Why don't they use the old apartheid crutch as an excuse for everthing ? Why don't the rest not do something about their situation?

The thing is DJK, I agree that they had a massive road to travel to even get remotely up to scratch in relation to the education we received. The biggest problem however is that some people did all in their power to get themselves up to scratch and even out studied white people. They are reaping the fruits today. Then you get the stupid lazy bastards sitting on the corners and crying because they where delt a bad hand. And plame Appartheid. I'm 90% sure that even if they where givven the same education they would still have been where they are now but with nothing to blame for it.

I fully respect the black educated people who struggled through Buntu education and then got a degree after that

I don't think it's unfair to say that at all. Some do, others would prefer to hang around waiting for a free handout all the while using what happened 15 years ago as an excuse for their non-performance

I've never had a problem getting work (before and after apartheid ended) and have never been able to understand lazy fskrs who use thier skin color as reason why they aren't happy with their lives.

Why do should people get free houses? Never in the history of Apartheid were the white people given free everything.

Free housing is not the same as the right to a roof over your head access to running water and electricity.

Being born in 1964 , i can say the second part of your statement is not entirely acurate. Railway employee's were often given free housing, government employee's and military employee's were given houses with bonds so low that they were almost negligable.
Having worked for both, the old South African Railways at 16 and a few years later doing 4 years of military service, there were many things that I remember about those days, white people did have it extremely easy, on a par with BEE, and AA and all the other affirmatives of today.

If you werent alive through the 70's and early 80's, as either a teenager or young adult, then you cannot understand what it was all about from history books, teachers or the propoganda of today

Apartheid houses stood for 30 years.
The new goverments houses do not last 3 years.

Agreed that the skill shortage is a huge problem but aren't the numbers as well? How many houses do you suppose the apartheid government had to put up vs. the number they need to now? I'm pretty sure the contractors weren't as cut-throat as they are now either.

I have not yet been affected by BEE or AA. I do however think that within 15 years of equality there is no place for dividing people according to race classification.

Do I think a student who just finished Varsity should be held back because of AA - NO

Would I respect the people who actually force an end to BEE and AA just like I respect the people who overcame bantu education - OFC !

Do I think a student who just finished varsity can can't find a job in his field so he rather stays at home and raids his mother's fridge than take a slightly lower paying job is USELESS complaining little twat. - YES

BEE and AA is racist in a democracy no matter how you try and cream coat it. But for people to rather sit at home moaning instead of working because of it is lazy and useless.

What the department lack in foresight, they certainly make up for in stupidity. All they are doing with such policies is extending the racial segregation and exclusion in SA. As a patient, who would you prefer to see? It just fuels more racial divides which is ridiculous...
