Maybe the goverment should teach you and those poor people about student loans ? There is no excuse. Student loans are rife and given to any student which has good grades irrespective of their background

Pitbull where the hell were you at school? I was born in '78 and was never taught racist nonsense at school. In fact my Std. 2 and 3 class teachers risked their own asses by saying how evil apartheid was. Not all whites grew up like that.

The heartland of Apparthied - Pretoria :D

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. That is some sad ****. Here in the overly Northern Cape, morons who wouldn't be able to add 3 to 4 properly are getting university scholarships.

Anyways i really hope Tokyo sorts out the housing problem. I think he is one of the few that can actually achieve it.

+1 He's an educated a very good businessman. I have faith in him sorting this mess out :)

No wonder. In Cape Town at school in '88 I think it was, only ONE kid in class said his dad was voting for NP and that the DP sucks. He was promptly beaten up at lunchbreak.

Well it does. Every cultivated/intellectuall person knows - the net does not capture 100% of our daily lifes. Back in the '80s while working for siemes (and residing in Germany - my home country), we were speculating about the internet's ability, to capture 50% of all the data generated in the real world. Everyone thought we were mad, now most people (especially the less educated ones) espect the net to know 'everything'. I make another prediction: by 2050 ,66.66% of the real world will be mirrored on the net. And BTW, is not uncommon for people to ask for net links. Especially if they are getting 'pushed into a corner'. Go look at wikipedia. For 1st world countries is a big '+' , for stagnating Africa is a even bigger '-' . Imagine how long we have to wait, until one day, one can read on the net, Mr. Temba's son (my gardener) missed school today :-(
On another note. People, this (myADSL) is a technical forum. Shouldn't we stick to technical issues? Hmmm . . . I hope, one of the moderators see this tread and take the necessary action.

I like him too. I think they are bussy promoting the new president?
It seems like he is going to give people hell.:D
In the same interview he said that a goverment should be run like a business. (Not a family)

Don't you think We the White kids born after 1976 where also done a great unjust ? We where told Black people are the dumbest race in the world, evolution is true that is where the black people came from. We where the superior race put on earth by God. Black people can't judge distance they can't social in groups, they live like animals as they never clean after themselves.

This where were all fed from a very young age at school. Appartheid had many victims, not just the black people of SA. Allot of racist people born before 1990 is the fault of Appartheid. You my friend seems to be one of these people. Pls, you have no idea as to what appartheid was and what it caused. ;)

Are you trying to justify your post because of the propaganda you were fed at school.
Also, how do you know that I dont understand what apartheid was about? You know nothing about me.

No, but maybe you nead to learn how to read. As the majority that has understood what was said. Maybe go re-read it again. You have no clue as to what appartheid was, so you have nothing to add

Ok wait, let me ask you this mr. manesan

If Aparthied was so good for the white poeple as you claim it has been. Why would they have voted to end it ? You seem like the kind of guy who would be able to answer me that little question.

I never understood the massive drive behind housing in this country. Yes, we have a few million people living in squatters, but what is the use of giving someone a house, who has no education, no job, and no future prospects.

These houses are built by the lowest bidder, and will start to crumble after a few months. How are these people going to fix it? They dont have any income.

And most of them will go on to have 12+ children, which all cant live in the house, and will end up on the street anyways.

That old saying about "giving a man a fish...."

If only there was the same motivation and drive for education FIRST and foremost... then people could buy their own houses, and not wait 10 years for a handout from goverment.

Please tell me were I said it was good for white people. The only thing I disputed you on was on your point that blacks had the oppotunity to educate themselves under apartheid.

Ok, so you are saying they where not able to? Do I get that right then ... Just want to make sure before I back up my claims.

You didnt answer the first part of my question, were did I say that whites had it better under apartheid?
They had an education system, it was called Bantu education.

Hence the term equal rights. People of colour did not have equal rights.

Stop dancing around like a cat on a hot roof top. That was exactly the reason I had to make sure what your question is. I said they had the oppertunity to better themselves and become educated, The Mandela's Thambo's and the likes all had great educations which was build from Bantu education.

Now for the love of all that is good, pls tell me that Black people under the appartheid regime was unable to get themselves educated and study.... pls pls pls that is all I'm asking, I have the facts here. I just need to you to make a complete tit out of yourself before I post it :D

I'm still dying to know the excuse for only 11.6% of blacks writing matric getting a university exemption after 12 years of ANC policy compared to 11% in 1991 under the Bantu education.
