No - Would rather get a MR2 than an NB (I did that already!
) - or you could get a nice NC MX5 one (if you wait a bit). Have seen them in the R130k range. Also the s2000 is better looking than all MX5s except for the ND which is fabulous. The s2000 is still way more manic and deals way more lols than any stock MX5 or GT86/BRZ 16 years later.Anyway - you should be telling us to get Opel Speedsters.

The mx5 handles superbly and is a cruiser,easy to drive and IS the best selling for a reason but there merely is NO comparison to the S2000.
In looks, handling, power, quality and some other words I haven't thought up yet

That is debatable. Personally I would rather get something a bit more hair dresser than the mx5.

Fair price, but there is some bargain room since it's an 05 model. I've received some crazy offers for mine (with much lower mileage than that), so mint low mileage examples really are in demand now.
On topic of the S2000, I spent Saturday morning changing the transmission and diff fluid in the S2000, took an hour for both jobs (and most of that was jacking up since I don't have a car lift at home). Car drives like a new machine now.
Need to find a car of troll be gone for you.
This I suspect is quite true. I do want to take the new MX5 for a spin, but from everything I've seen and read the S2000 will cream all over it. Not bad for a car that was first released in 1999 (yes, they squeezed 177kw out of a 2L naturally aspirated engine in a road car 16 years ago).
