Your argument doesn't factor in that they wanted to shoot everything practically where possible. There's no way to shoot it in camera. That's the point I've made from the beginning, in keeping with their vision. So yea, there's no way to do it in camera in an F35. Just isn't. They could have used any number of tricks to do it, but they wanted it all real, visceral, in camera. You are ok with cgi in 3 aircraft, but for some weird reason they can’t use cgi to show a pilot, “main” or not in an f35.
