It's the ultimate plane movie. The planes in flight visuals is the star of the movie

No real storyline. The story was adapted to show off as many planes as possible. No mission backstory, you don't even see the nationality or faces of the enemy.

Something I would have to rewatch in 4k to truly appreciate.

Although filled with some striking aerial footage and set to a pumping rock soundtrack, the movie was about as cliche filled as possible. It followed the popular 'super kids' movie trope of the era and was laughably far fetched. But even above the corny dialogue and cheesy premise, the movie maybe best known for its chaotic editing and representation that the relatively svelte F-16A/B carried seemingly unlimited firepower.

A movie worth buying and not pirating . Will buy it on Apple TV so I get all the goodness!

Watched it last night on my 120-inch Hisense with surround sound. They released another hardcoded 1080 IMAX version with 5.1 surround sound. Even with Subs, which after a few minutes no longer bothered us, it was fantastic!

That being said, I too will definitely be grabbing the proper 4k version when it releases in October or November.

My uncle is fortunate enough to have an actual mini theatre at home, but he uses a trash R2k projector that creates a washed out picture even in complete darkness, and the screen is probably not much bigger than a 65” tv. Why he spends so much on a house and then cheaps out on a projector I can’t understand, would far rather watch a movie on your Hisense. Or my PC monitor, lol.

Oh, man. This movie is doing a lot of good things for the movie business. First, it drove a lot of people back to cinemas and now people will (probably) upgrade their home theatre setups just to watch it properly at home. I'll feel like a traitor when I watch this on my 22 inch monitor next week...

I don't know about Avatar 2, the trailer doesn't look like much and gives snorefest vibes.
