TopTV confirms decoder stock

It is all good and well that the TopTV contact centre is ready for the next wave of subscribers. The problem, however, is with the installers. I got my decoder last Sunday. I'm still waiting for the installation. The installation was scheduled for today, but they never showed up. I'm slowly loosing interest in TopTV.

Same here, i booked my installation with SATS-R-US just after i purchased the decoder on launch date and i'm also still waiting. Was told yesterday that the install was canceled due to SATS not getting paid by TopTV only to get a phone call today to say that my install will go ahead. Well no installer pitched up so now what !!

Charge him for the wait. They complain quite readily about extras for travel or for a big house. Charge the fsuckers!
 
Even with all the new subscribers to TopTV, Multichoice had very little cancellations. Maybe it is the sport. Maybe after the Super 14 the message would get through to them ?
It also depends on the content provided by TopTV, is it worthwhile, can any new TopTV customers let us know ?

I think this will be the case as well and also not everyone knows about this site and their tv ads are not very informative, so the momentum will continue to grow once proper word gets out.

My sister and her husband are doing installations for TopTV, and have had little joy out of them wrt payment. They are also very lax about picking up the phone or answering emails to answer queries.

I also got my TopTV decoder last Saturday at 9am. Cant seem to get an installer do just connect the dish for me.

TopTV phoned me just now to inquire why I have not activated my decoder.

After telling them I cant get an installer to help out, he actually put me on hold and started to phone around trying to find an installer. He was also unsuccessful though...... but I appreciate the effort.

I agree with the beginning pf the story - who would have thought there would be such a major take-up of the service! I guess we didn't realised how entertainment starved South Africans really are!

The guy in Game said the same thing. They are putting the TopTV decoders behind the desk now and not promoting them.
