TopTV gets MU channel

I ♥ MUFC ;)

Not sure if they are live, says recorded matches. I think others own the rights to the live games but not 100% on this...
 
The channel will be airing recorded, full coverage of Manchester United matches in the Premier League, UEFA Champions League plus live coverage of Manchester United pre-season friendly matches.

The league matches wont be live, but the friendly matches will be live
 
Just get Arsenal TV for me please and I will shut my DStv Compact bouquet and upgrade to TopTV premium in the blink of an eye.

It's all about brodcasting rights, give the sports channel (like Supersport) the right to broadcast all the games live and charge them for that. Where as these football club channels would probably burn money for broadcasting live games just dedicated to they club, rather choose to show a delayed match.

I guess some people who cant get to sleep will have something to watch, from wikipedia:
MUTV offers Manchester United fans exclusive interviews with players and staff, full matches, including all Premier League games (broadcast generally at midnight of the day the match was played), live reserve and academy games and "classic" matches plus footballing news and other themed programming.

2 channels so far I have almost no interest in. Only reason I occasionally watch one of them is because someone I know is on it.
 
Up the Arsenal (or up Arsenal Wenger)!

Unfortunately this doesn't mean live premiership matches. You are still going to need SS3 and others for that. DSTV has this tied down and know that football subscribers are hostage to them.

Top TV seems blissfully unaware of this. Their PR person stated, no so long ago, that Top TV had no intention of taking DSTV to court over abuse of dominant position etc etc.

Well until they do, they'll have to manage without my custom as I'm stuck with DSTV. Although being stuck with DSTV means I'm not a happy customer of DSTV.

Sorry this is not sport coverage mate. Sport coverage is showing live games. Yippee we can watch friendly games live. Moving forward!!!!!!!

Get some proper sport channels and maybe just maybe dstv have problems.
 
We have got to give them credit.

This is a giant step.

Personally I did not even think this was possible. Its ManU and we know exactly why they went for ManU - because lots of soccer fans are ManU fans. I am an Arsenal fan but I can see how going for ManU would make sense.

My advice to them is that they work on bringing other club channels like Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Everton, Villa and ManCity.

You can do it guys. Then after that you go for the jagular - LIVE GAMES (lol - I hope my figurative speech doesn't incite violence or any kind of hostilities because thats not what its meant to do).
