TOPTV INSTALLER LIST

They can install to more than one TV but that comes as an extra cost. It's impossible to say how much more since they all have different rates.
Basically, you're going to have to cover the cost of the extra cable (distance 'from one room to the other', plus the 'distance from the ground to the ceiling x 2') and any extra labour fees. Shouldn't be more than a few hundred at most.

Does anyone know why the call centre number (08600 86788) doesn't work? :cry: I can't even leave a message! Is there an alternative number I can use?
 
Hi Cheri.

That is the only number available for installations right now. I would recommend booking your installation first (with an accredited installer) and THEN battling to get through to TopTV for registration.
When you do finally get through, don't forget to insist they give you your customer number immediately. (You will need to call the installer back and give it to them BEFORE they come to your place.)

I phoned the installer number (first post on this thread) for the West Rand region & the woman that answered said I can only get a booking if I get the d@mn "subscribtion" number (which I take is the customer number).

God, this is frustrating!
 
Hmmm ... seems they're becoming more strict with regards to installations. Sorry to hear that.
I can only recommend that you keep trying to get through to the callcentre. Yeah, I know that is completely useless and redundant advice so I apologise....
 
:erm: I am on the phone now. The guy voice says that if I leave a message they will get back to me... So, how do you leave a message??? He encourages me to do so but doesn't give me a message tone!!! :confused:
 
Don't complain. The longer you're able to wait on the line, the more chance you have of somebody eventually answering.
After a while, they stop allowing you to wait and they force you to leave a message. You'll know when it happens.......
 
I got through!!!! :D I spoke to Sibongile @ she was hell of a nice... Got my customer number & account number! My phone times how long I am on a call and I was holding for just over ten minutes! Yay! She is sms'sing me installer numbers now...

Yippiee, yay, yay!!! Spoke to a girl, Annelie, at Flash Dstv & they will be installing tomorrow morning @ 8:30. An extra point will cost R250.

Can't believe how fast this was!

Finally got hold of TopTV! Once giving all my details they sent me an SMS with accredited installers in our area. 3 numbers where given, however 2 of them said that it falls out of their area and they can't do it, the other said there is a week waiting period for installation!

Tried to phone the number on the first page to no avail. Both contact numbers given just ring.

I'm quite upset about the fact that people where complaining about the major downfall of TopTV being the long wait to activate, or unavailability of operators to do so over the phone. My problem is the installation!

If anybody knows of an accredited installer in the Silverton, Pretoria area let me know. I doubt I can wait another week with the decoder on my TV stand, sitting there, mocking me.

Sh***y service from Sats-r-us in Centurion. Had an appointment for an installation yesterday afternoon. They did not pitch or let me know they are not coming. Phoned them now and they have the attitude that I can complain to TT and they do not care as there is so much work that TT wont take action against them.

As*****s must remember that once the initial rush is over then it is customer service that will get them future business. Definitely wont be from me and I will tell all my friends to avoid them. (I have bougth in the past from them)

Perhaps consider lodging a complaint before ditching them altogether. It wouldn't be fair to judge the company as a whole on the basis of one arrogant person with no client-service skills.

this guy knows exactly what to do and has all the correct equipment did my installation in less than a hour.Unlike some of the installers ho doesnt even know where to get the dish or which direction to face the dish
He may well have the technical knowledge, but based on my experience he is thoroughly unreliable.

Excellent installers that cover the greater Durban area including suburbs like Overport, Morningside and throughout.
These young guys came through and installed in no time and were courteous and jovial.
Everything was up and running before they left and as expected, they had a list of jobs to attend to.
I did tell them that I had to post their details for good recomendation as the service and knowledge of installing the dish to finding the satellite was excellent.
Well done guys, I hope you guys go from strength to strength.
Please promote these guys, I can lay my head on the block for their good service.
