It will be great if I can find a TopTv Installer. I re-alligned my DSTV dish and got my decoder picking up the signal, but now it needs to be activated and TopTv telephones does not answer and they do not return messages on their voice mail. Does anyone know of an installer in the Durban area that can do an activation?

I have the Same issue

I have prob used all my free monthly minutes (and the month just started)
I have left messages and no reply hey WHATS UP TOPTV
we need you to be a winning formula here
I tried cotacted Sats-r-us they are an acredited dealer for toptv
I think they are in DBN as well but the issue is activation :-(
 
I'm going to go ahead and guess that 50 000 people are trying the same thing :D

Even if you go hyper optimistic and say that each call with a consultant takes 1 minute, that's 34 days of 24/7 phone calls :P

Patience is about all to do right about now :) They'll work through the backlog.
 
My TopTV is now activated - all can relax, they are trying to serve as many as possible. Keep on trying to phone them every so often.

So are you getting anything worthwhile to watch? Or is it too soon to tell?
 
It appears there's a huge demand for competent installers who CAN actually find the Sirius 4 satellite. Please if your installation was successful and you're happy with the service, please post the contact details in this thread. Keep everyone informed about the quality of workmanship and customer service experienced. I'll copy this on the other thread's as well...

Just a heads up for all who are interested:

I finally got mine activated yesterday around noon, but due to my 3 year old daughter getting hold of the remote I didn't really have much time to assess the content, but I can say this: Showtime (or was it FOX, can't recall right now) seems to have fairly recent content, for example this morning when I left The Headless Horsemen was playing and I think that was released 2 or 3 years ago. I can't wait to check it out properly when I get home.

To the creators of that bloody JimJam kids' channel: I hate you. kthxbi

And then to Hennie and Maynard (I'm the Blue Downs guy) who did a pristine job, despite me not having a customer number at the time, thanks a lot guys! I highly recommend these guys if you're in the Cape Town area.
 
Fo those that require toptv pep in Bronkhorstspruit just confirmed they have stock 11h23 on 03/05/2010 - phone them on 0139320212

Thanks DELEVEX!! The pretoria number you gave will be installing my toptv tomorrow! The number I got from toptv, they wanted to charge me R1000 to install! wtf?

BTW, I had no trouble getting through to toptv, I phoned the at 9 saturday morning and took like 1 minute for them to answer. Can't wait to see what the channels are like, will keep you guys posted.

Rustenburg TopTV

Hi Everyone

I am looking for an installer and store that has stock of Top TV in Rustenburg Please.

I have been up at 5 am Saturday Morning for my search for TopTV.
No one received stock, Some stores does not even know what it is.
 
I need an installer in the Deep South, Cape Town ie. False Bay area. Anyone can recommend please? Thanks.
 
So my installer in Worcester contacted me just now and told me the dishes wil be delivered tomorrow afternoon. He wil then contact me for an appointment. They are called "Wynland Tv dienste - 0725099519", very friendly and helpfull. Just waiting for my instalation now.
 
TopTV service is improving..

there service is improving!

1. i left a v-msg Saturday.
2. then y'day morning i emailed [email protected] and [email protected] .
3. then i called @14h00,got through 14h10, and got off the phone @14h35.
4. y'day 4pm they called ME to confirm all ok..
5. y'day 19h50 they(responding to email) called me to confirm
6. this morning i received another call from Barbara(dealing with email) to confirm Smartcard number, which i didn't have with me when i called CC .
7. this morning 30min later the CC agent calls me to confirm and give me installers details
:) now.. i think thats great service !!

That's great to hear. I've also just mailed them.
I only need activation. I already have my customer number and my dish is installed.
 
I got through to TOP TV, asked weather i needed a customer number and was told no. Tandika, the person who registered me, gave me the installers details, but never a customer number.. so how does the process work? do i need a customer number and did those who already registered, get a customer number? please inform me guys...
 
Well I got a customer number. That's the number the installer needs when your account is activated, as far as I know.

Awesome service, they are driving all the way to Lichtenburg to do my installation as well as two installations for my friends. (NO CHARGE).
