TOPTv Installers

Top TV were not paying the installers for there services and the dishes.

I got the same call from SATS-R-US on Monday morning, had a reasonable discussion with someone about it (and even though I did not like it, I understood there view on the matter, after all one can not do business without cash).

Later the same day I got a call back from them that they would be able to help me.
The installer (Maisela), was very professional and went out of his way to assist me.

Thanks all, we now have TopTV and it seems to be working perfectly :)

Thanks for the update. This would explain why my installer is out of dishes.

Edit:

SO I got hold of TopTV. Told them my whole debacle with my installer and a consultant name Siphokazi helped me out. Within minutes she found an alternate installer willing to come out this Friday to do my installation and one on standby in case this new installer had any delays/problems.

The customer support at TopTV is incredble and I can only sing songs of praise for the manner in which they handled this. If this is an indication of the quality of their service I can personally say I won't be switching back to DSTV.

I got my toptv decoder yesterday at northgate Game, I must this was the best customer experience in a very long time. I bought the decoder at about 15:00, Game contacted the installer and allowed me to contact Toptv for registration. I stayed on hold for about 10 minutes before getting registered. By the time I got home (Northriding) the installer was waiting for me and at 16:20 they were finished. It then took another 10 mintues to get the service activated. So in a hour and a half I went from start to finish.

Still no installers in Bloem?

I haven't heard anything back since Saturday :(


Were did you buy your decoder?

I also want toptv, but the absence of installer information in Bloem is a bit worrying. Guess I should go buy a decoder and then start nagging toptv for an installer.

Hi. If you are still looking for someone to do your installation, try Flash installers. They work in Jhb and Pta. Give them a call on 084 205 8518. They could help me the next day. Very good service from them. They explained to me what I had to do and what they will do, and wha la, all was done. The actiovation did take a while from the call centres side, but the lady at their office sorted it out as well. Thank you Louis & team for a job well done.
 
Finally got my installation done yesterday, all sorted by Frequency Doctor - 0715148290 - 0780841353.

Got through to the Call Center immediately and was activated while still on the phone with the picture popping on the screen as we spoke.

So, it seems things are normalising now.

Awesome picture quality from the massive 80" Dish, makes my other Dish look like a dwarf ;)

Certainly nice to have.

Excellent installers that cover the greater Durban area including suburbs like Overport, Morningside and throughout.
These young guys came through and installed in no time and were courteous and jovial.
Everything was up and running before they left and as expected, they had a list of jobs to attend to.
I did tell them that I had to post their details for good recomendation as the service and knowledge of installing the dish to finding the satellite was excellent.
Well done guys, I hope you guys go from strength to strength.
Please promote these guys, I can lay my head on the block for their good service.

Again, another installer has shafted me!

This is the 2nd installer that has said they would be there on a particular date but hasn't pitched! It's going on 2 and a half weeks now since I purchased my decoder and I still can't get people to install my dish!

I phoned TopTV once again (must have used over R300.00 airtime by now between TopTV and Installers), they gave me 3 new numbers to call. 2 of those said that they don't do installations in my area as it's out of their working zone, the 3rd is willing to come out on Thursday.

This is getting ridiculous now. I can't keep throwing money at something without getting results, I'm sick of wasting airtime on people who are clearly not interested.

This is it now, 3rd time lucky. If this guy doesn't show up on Thursday I'm going ot return the decoder, they can bank on that!

The reason for the delays is that TOP TV are not paying their installers on time.. We are doing about 25-30 installations per week in Durban, but are still waiting for payment... This is frustrating given the fact that we have to outlay our own money for dish kits, cable, petrol and labour per installation..

It will be great if I can find a TopTv Installer. I re-alligned my DSTV dish and got my decoder picking up the signal, but now it needs to be activated and TopTv telephones does not answer and they do not return messages on their voice mail. Does anyone know of an installer in the Durban area that can do an activation?
