those is newsgroups are the best. use the have it at my previous work. missing it a lot!

i wish iburst could connect through those newsgroups.

Apparently we can use the nntp.uunet.co.za newsgroup.

People have said this in the past but i have never really tried. Someone did post about having success so im assuming it works.

my experience of public newsgroups is that it's pubic....

No, I think uunet's newsgroup is supposed to be closed, but iBurst uses Verizon (ex-UUNet) for their banwidth so we have access.

But im not really shure.

Indeed I can connect to nntp.uunet.co.za. (I use iburst)

BUT: There are no (or almost no) binaries on it. Unless I am doing something wrong, it does not seem to work.

Error: No such article is all I get.

I'm being hosted at servage.net. I can set up torrentflux, but when trying to download it dies after a few seconds. According to the torrentflux forum faq this is because it is a shared hosting server.

Has anyone successfully ran torrentflux on servage?

They are utterly wrong, in my eyes... I’m on shared hosting at the moment and it worked 'fine'.

Servage got a Neutral rating as TF 'worked' and was allowed there but it would not download/start properly. Servage is Not the way to go.

My TF installation on Servage did not download anything I threw at it. It just sat there and did nothing. Ask for your money back from Servage (good luck) and try out another host. Post them here If it works on that new host please.

Hetzner also works fine with TorrentFlux i've heard... @ R1200/month for 160GB HDD Space and 2TB Bandwidth. :|

U can install Ubuntu and install a P2P app gtk-gnutella. That works for me.
