I got this question(s),and decided to answer them here, and to get clarity about a few things:
do i understand correctly:
1) you get yourself a server somewhere (cheap and with lots of
bandwidth..)
2) you run torrent flux(TF) on this remote server
3) you download the completed torrents via iburst
advantages:
4) runs independent of iburst
5) can up as much or little as you want
6) much higher bandwidth on server
7) you can now "download torrents" from any connection, even those directly blocking torrents, by using direct HTTP download via your server
disadvantages:
8) downloading finished torrents counts against cap
9) download speed once capped is standard 64kb/s
10)Getting a 'LEKKER' Big dedicated server could increase the costs...Dedicated+Big == $$$
is that about right?
what have your experiences been so far?
1. Yip,cheap cheap.
2. Yip,easy enough.
3. Nope. You upload the *.torrent file to this server. The TF is a web_based_bittorrent_client, that’ll download the torrent the way BT/azeurus/etc etc does it. Only you can be offline while your cheap webserver is doing all the hard work. Then, after the TF had completed the whole torrent, you can then download it with a program like DAP at excellent speed as it is normal HTTP! Can be done via any internet connection(iburst,adsl….).
4.Runs independent from you, being online/offline does not matter. The Server TF is ‘installed’ on,is always online.
5. ??? Upload? Yes you can seed the torrents on your web_server,or disable it to save bandwidth.
6. International servers have REALY cheap bandwidth! Some Dedicated servers come standard with 2TB bandwidth.
7. Any other advantages people? -If your admin/ISP is blocking (or shaping) your Work/School/etc etc connection of downloading, this is for you! HTTP is usually prioritized above other traffic, so your torrents will be streaming to you via HTTP really fast!

Even if you only have access to port 80(HTTP),you could use this to download torrents!
8. Yip, counts towards the first 1/3/x GB of your Iburst cap…AFAIK
9. Once capped, AFAIK, you can only surf on the local iburst network. So TF is more suited for ADSL users, when you use a local Linux server.
10. Any other?.....o,yes..Local servers is NOT that cheap as International servers(thank Telkom)!!!!!!
my experiences....wellllll:
I love it. Works like a charm.
