I have an unusual problem with my ADSL line. Torrents download at around 100kbps (on a 1MB line) but ftp downloads are very slow, sometimes below 10kbps.
General browsing seems okay but it is a little slower. I have run tests on speedtest.net and all the readings are okay. Telkom's FTP file download is very slow at around 30kbps.
This occurs on both my unshaped Afrihost account and my OpenWeb Uncapped Gold account. The ISPs have detected no faults. I have already logged a fault with Telkom online.
Has this happened to anyone else before? Any idea of what the cause might be?
