Total ADSL traffic in SA

When was the last ADSL speed upgrade? wasn't that early this year? That would explain most of the increase, as well as VDSL rollout (if that is included).

Using their numbers the average data usage for ADSL is about 28 GB per month. That is quite low, and indicates that many people use ADSL for email and browsing only, thus using only a few GB a month.

Started in Nov 2013 IIRC.

It should be interesting to compare to total mobile data. I suspect ADSL is winning without even trying. I hope Telkom learn from their own figures - provide more lines and the clients will come.
 
Can you imagine where we would be in terms of connectivity and data usage if Telkom was better managed and had alliances with international telcos?
 
As much as the data usage goes up, so does Telkom profits on IPC costs.
