TotGC 25

Never said a disc priest is bad. Just that Paladins and beacon own at tank healing :)

In terms of HPS output on a tank they probably do, in terms of keeping a tank alive I'd wager Disc Priests pull ahead.

yeah. put the pally on the tank and let the priest heal the raid. Paladins suck at raid healing, especially when everyone is confused :D

in our raids pally healer top the healing meters easy mode.( have disc, holy and druid healers in raids also) and pally healers cant oom even just spamming away.

pally tanks top the damage taken meter everytime(meaning less dmg taken then other classes). Im not talking about where the cd save your lives, im talking about taking 20% less dmg when u go below 30% hp, where dk have the same but its got a 15 sec cd,where a pally hes no cd and they can remove there stacks of impale no other tanks can do it . Where i have 53k hp raid buffed our pallys sit on 42k hp and they seem to have it way easier in raids then me,and im better geared in hp and avoidance then them.threat wise they are best also and in aoe tanking they can be afk can people wont over agro.

ret's have have tanks cd's even know they dpsing, which is unfair(most ret's spec into devine sacrifice these days). They don't have a strict dps rotation to top the dps meters.

topping the damage taken meter too me means they took the most damage but then again it might just be me... If you meant the take the least damage then they would not top the damage taken list.

Topping healing meters means nothing. Go look at the over healing. Bet they are over healing atleast 50-70%

My overhealing is usually around 60% but that is the nature of HOTs, it does not mean that I don't know how to heal. If I ran oom I would we worried but with the game the way it is now I always have a innervate ready when my mana gets low.

Right..

Druids are meant too over heal because hots don’t heal direct damage they heal raid damage that might or might not happen

I’m talking about paladins. Spamming flash of light/holy light even if a person is not taking damage is not hard. Healing up actual damage is another story all together.

Having been a healer vanilla wow was where it was at! Precasting and canceling a cast because the tank didn’t take damage or didn’t need a heal. Timing heals too land at the right time or else you would run oom. Not spamming just because u can :P

Dear lawd why if I point out something people AUTOMATICLY think i said something about their class/them. Just giving my observations.

You can’t compare paladin overhealing with a shammie, priest or druid. Just pointing out that if a paladin was topping the healing meters don’t mean he was the most efficient.

Kinda missed the whole "I'm QQing about paladin healing" in there. Thought you were talking about disc priests.

No problem seems most people are miss reading/not reading what was posted. Instead jumping too conclusions and what not. BUT! No problem :P

To the person who said 20% less damage taken helps below 35% hp, ye it does if your healers are god awful and you're not doing any hard content.

We'll take Gormakk as an example. He hits tanks for around 40k.

Pally Tank 65k Raid Buffed (Think I'm being super generous here but w/e)

Initial hit takes the tank to 25k HP or, some healing happens, tank goes to 62k, tank gets hit again tanking him to 22k and is now below 35% HP and Ardent Defender is proc'd. Tank then gets hit for 40*0.8 = 32k damage and gets killed anyway. The free cheat death every 2 minutes is great the damage mitigation below 35% is not that great. On a softer hitting boss it might work but pretty much everything in heroic/hard mode hits too hard for it to matter.

in our raids pally healer top the healing meters easy mode.( have disc, holy and druid healers in raids also) and pally healers cant oom even just spamming away.

Cause healing meters are an accurate measure of healing performance?

well, back on topic, guild did a togc25 run last nite again, and we got past gormok nps, ppl just pegged on the worms cos of poison and being in the way, or 2 far from the tank(s) when he was either tanking the movable worm, or de-debuffing the poisoned (cant remember the name of it) ppls. and icehowl is easy pie, so should hopefuly have the beasts down tonite :D

Cast blessing of protection on the tank that tanked last, during the transition. It removes the debuff, and he can just cancel it and start building aggro on the worms.
Works pretty well for us using just 2 tanks.

a bit of an update. we are now doing the beasts with 2 tanks no problems, and I have been roped in as a utility tank, being kittay main spec and bear off (got some togc10 gear for offspec) for the worms. got jarraxus down as well, but its not as easy. god help us on the faction champs ><
