Fair enough. You may be right.

Why I don't credit Levy much is that he wasn't the one signing the players that have been good for them. Bale, Modric, Berbatov, Im sure was brought in by managers. Those players thrived and was sold by Levi. So he looks good.

But Levy brought those players in for relative peanuts, always sold them for massive profits, and kept faith with the managers even through difficult times, for the most part. He should look good- his vision for the future of the club and the manner in which he has gone about in improving their fortunes, is impressive.

Someone mentioned that Baldini was in charge of player transfers, yet is still there- which also alludes to my point that this sacking was not only down to results. When Juande Ramos was sacked, Damien Comolli was also shown the door.

To an extent, yes. Henderson was bought under Comolli's reign, but then again, so was Stewart Downing...

Dude, so was Carrol. Worst transfer ever. I am grateful for Henderson, even though he was not cheap.

Comolli was very hit and miss, even at Spurs. A lot of good players were brought in, as well as a lot of donkeys.

Real pity about AVB being sacked. I posted on twitter after the match on the weekend that I hoped it did not lead to him finally being sacked. Levey did however look miffed while we ran riot at white heart lane, and yes, they have been up and down a bit but they are not far off the pace, quite the contrary. United have been struggling and they are defending champs. You wont see them firing Moyes soon, I hope..LOL!

But its done..will be interesting to see who comes on. My bet is Michael Laudrup from Swansea..

Burden of expectation got him in the end. If you spend 100mil (even if it comes from selling a player) the expectations will rise to Roman Abromavich proportions. That's just how things work.

To be fair it was also along the lines of what was Chelsea smoking. Chelsea wanted Torres, Liverpool wanted 15mil plus Carrol for Torres. Newcastle wanted 35mil for Carrol so Chelsea paid 50 for Torres.

Yep. If Newcastle had wanted 15 for Carroll, Torres would only have cost 30mil.
