Anyone whos' ever used roaming knows that you can pick you SP when roaming, now how please pray tell are they going to control that?
Absolutley insane... over an above, I'm sure this is going to get interesting with WiMax coming in and people roaming over VoIP and not even using cellphones. Damn, these legal types are intelligent.

So what's stopping a real drug dealer from using a false passport, name and address when registering his phone with MTN? It's not the FBI who's doing the verification but a lowly clerk who won't know a Colombian passport from an ink-jet printed forgery.
A good response would be to force visiting SA diplomats and heads of state to personally register their phones while abroad, otherwise can't call Pretoria.
