Tough week ahead, warns Eskom

“Koeberg power station’s Unit 1 will be shut down from tomorrow (Monday) for a scheduled refuelling, inspection and maintenance outage. The unit is expected to return back to service at the end of May,” Eskom said.

But you haven't got it back online yet

I'll say it again .... switch off the fncking burning streetlights during daytime .... and don't come with that BS that's it's burning to prevent theft, because they will just make plans to steel during scheduled load-shedding times in any case.

As an aside, Computek, daytime street lights isn't to stop theft. It's to prolong lighting element life. Thermal cycling is the biggest killer by far. It's not infrequent for the cost of replacement to exceed the cost of electricity.

Isn't it technically "on", just not synchronized with the grid?

Yeah, ironically it was the maintenance guys prepping for the scheduled shutdown who tripped it last Sunday by putting scaffolding against a transformer.

I would be great though if Showerhead's SONA get's shedded to **** on Thursday evening though.

Load shedding is already varking around with our schedules, not a happy customer. Eskom must provide us with one predetermined stage until the issue is resolved, whenever I don’t care, the current circumstances don’t make it easy to do planning, nor stick to schedule.

All Eskom did is put all businesses in queue, awaiting the guillotine.
