Tracert - Telkom ADSL

I've noticed since this new Telkom system was introduced that I don't get a response from a TracerT on the local exchange anymore (ie hop 2)... Pings to all the other hops report back as normal, just that 2nd hop... Anyone else?

Another thing, my line used to be rock solid, synching at 6mb with a decent Signal / Noise ratio. But now its constantly dropping to lower synch speeds whenever it rains ... or is even slightly damp.

Yes, I noticed that.

Caused no end of trouble because Telkom told me it was the modem at fault.
