Trackmania 2

Will prob get it a few weeks after release.looks interesting though.

... and the Eagle has landed, although in beta format. The Nadeo tracks look fantastic, handles a lot like Island (but better) so I need to park my Stadium driving habits a bit. Online play was fine with no lag. Couldn't stay connected to a server for more than 2 or 3 races at a time, which didn't distract from the feel but is a bummer when you're trying to score points :)

Purchased mine straight from UbiSoft , as the Trackmania shop couldn't handle the load. Came in at 20 Euro (R210) as opposed to the $US20 it would have been via the TM shop. 880MB +- download file btw

Only thing about the new environment I stuggle with, is the lightning :)

but Luke I made a track which u would like, now if mania-exchange will stop crashing , I could upload it :)

Luke I made about 10 tracks so far.. everyday I scheem my last one is really bad :) ... but suppose it takes time to get use to new environments. Some things just don't work properly, maybe because it's still beta ? well let's see when 14th of September arrives.
BTW ... really getting into this drifting business :)
 
Bought the pre-order yesterday played a bit.. looks awesome, currently busy playing with the dedicated server software :)

I noticed there was an extra server :) I only run my dedicated server now and again.
 
Glad to see so many SA players tonight joining us.. it's by far the most advanced online racing game ever.. And Luke , your stadium car is apparently in the 'making' :)
 
Seeing as i lost a good chuck of my life playing the previous games, i guess the same will happen with this one
 
OK after a month of playing this, I decided to go back to Trackmania 1, and golly .. its like night and day. TM2 rocks and will remain the best racing game ever.

Since getting the Beta in August, I've been on TMU twice... once for some Dirt tracks and the last time to see if any of my buddies are still online there :) Think I must go back and donate my 30K+ coppers to someone... :)

TM2 rocks....
 
I have to agree, I donated 150,000 coppers.

But watch out, some nice 'real' prizes coming up in December for xmas sponsored by mania-sa.
 
Time to revive this thread, I just got TM2 (all 3 editions) via Steam for R220 last night and can't stop playing it! Where are all my fellow ZA's ???

I'll tell you what, this game can be quite addictive, it's a good racing game...... but hell..... it can get frustrating at times.
Haven't played in a long while, but $20 for all three is a good price, might get it as well, seeing as I only have Canyon.
 
For anyone still interested in TM2, it is currently on Steam's Flash Sale for the next, 2+ hours.
You can get the whole TM2 series for just $9.99 (about R107), it was too hard too resist for me, so I got it.

Oh, and you can get the whole TM series, with the original TM United for just $14.99.
 
Been awhile folks.. But good news is that you can now drive all three environments on one server. And even mix the cars, so it's good fun. If you have all three come and check out the server in SA zone. (just install the multi-server title)
