Trademark renewal

Hi,

I need to renew a trademark that's registered under several classes. Having a lawyer handle the renewal will cost >R10k. The actual fees to CIPC is less than R3k.

Does anyone know whether I can simply file the renewal myself? Or do I need an attorney?

I can't seem to find a clear answer from the CIPC.

So I spoke to someone at the CIPC, and found that if the trademark is in your own name, you can do the renewal yourself.
