Trendnet TEW-691GR problem

Hi all,

I have a friend who bought a Trendnet TEW-691GR router however there no internet connection can be made.
The router was bought from overseas and no install wizard provided with the hardware. We have tried to configure the router with the standard ppoe settings however I'm not seeing any VPI/VCI settings to configure.

The connector slot where the RJ-11 connector is supposed to fit on the router has a RJ-45 connector labeled WAN.
It almost looks like a cable modem, however the connector fits and clips when inserted.

The PPOE credentials is fine and the ADSL is in working state as test with my other modem.

Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong?

The router you have has not got a built in ADSL modem, you will have to purchase a separate DSL modem and set it in bridge mode for your setup to work.
