Tripping on LSD - what's it like ?

Shrooms also disagree with a lot of people ...... in my group back in the day, a 3rd could take shrooms with no ill effects while two 3rds of us would puke at least once. I much preferred LSD - no puking involved.

Well shrooms are actually poison... so yes, it might not go so well.

You could also take acid and slip in to a psychotic episode. It comes with the territory.

Depends on what you surround yourself with. It can be awesome, it can also be hell. It's volatile too, very up and down.
Music is much deeper than usual. All of this applies to mushrooms aswell.

Your best bet is to plan ahead, surround yourself with close friends, be comfortable, and don't do it unless you are in a good frame of mind.

my friends wanna try shrooms this weekend . they are complete pot heads and have been for 2 years now.i dont recommend it but they are doing it even after all my advice.
i will probably be at the house with them when they consume them. is there anything i should watch out for ? the idiots will probably blaze some Mary J along with them

When they act foolish, try not to come across as judging them or frowning upon it. It's a terrible downer.

Other than that, just make sure they don't do anything dangerous. If someone thinks it's a good idea to drive somewhere, agree and offer to do the driving. Or suggest something else that they may find fun. Their attention span will be shot to sh*t, so they will forget any crazy ideas pretty quickly.

The set and setting post earlier is worth noting.

Nausea usually occurs only just before/as the trip is coming on. Often this feeling is used to indicate that the trip will start soon and that the mushies aren't duds. Some people always get nauseas - often to the point of actually puking, while others don't feel it at all. Usually it's to do with how sensitive ones stomach is.

This can be safely avoided by taking herbal anti-nausea medication... or anything like it.

Once again, see my previous post... the shrooms avaliable in SA are not poisonous. If you dont know for sure, then dont post.

On a separate topic, if anybody is interested, I have an ebook called "DMT: The spirit molecule" By Dr. Rick Strassman. Quite informative if you are interested in Psychadelics in general and DMT in particular... If anybody wants, PM me...

That statememnt alone proves you have no idea what you're talking about. :) With all due respect, your friends can't be too deep if those were the thoughts they were having.
Not trying to wind you up, just giving my honest opinion.

Copacetic is totally right, there IS no guarantee of a good trip. If you think otherwise, then you're some combination of naive/foolish/ignorant.

Read more about shrooms man. There are lots of different types of shrooms, I have seen at least two types.

My father also has a book showing all the different types of mushrooms. Some are poisonous and will make you die and others are poisonous and will make you hallucinate, there is a toxic level that will kill you though.
I saw what I took in the book, small blue/purpleish fungus... it was poisonous not lethal. I have seen other types as well... so you can't really define what is available in SA, if some one brings it in then its available. I have even heard of people taking peyote in SA.

In fact everyone I talk to has a different story about what they took and what it looked like.

+1. I've had... 3 lsd trips, one INCREDIBLY bad and 2 were ok. Even the ones that were ok, you always feel like you're just on the edge of flipping out so you have to hold it together. But a really bad trip is a serious business. I can't even think about that experience without feeling weird now, and that's 15 years later.

I hear you brother. But at least it was all in your mind:)

LSD Trips. Epic. Had more than 400. Took years to get over the mental damage but I had a f***ing blast man.

I felt the same way, its why i dont enjoy it really, or i used to candy flip to mellow out the A. I dont like the feeling that i have (fighting to stay in control)..I know its not really true, but at the time I also have that...on the edge feeling...

Did it effect you badly?

Lets just say that it wasn't good. It had a huge impact on mood control and concentration. Also emotions swing. Not major damage but certainly noticeable and not comfortable damage. Takes a long time to get the natural balance back which is difficult enough without having fscked it up with LSD in the first place. I love the way it makes me think though. I use parts of my mind that weren't readily accessable to me before and are now open. I don't regret it at all.
