TRL Technologies?

It makes me rather suspicious. Mweb is charging R2000+ and there it is for 900. I emailed them asking about their fair usage policy and shaping, but i cant really be sure about how honest they'll be

They insist you move your line to them as well......bleh!

You don't have to move your line, you can buy bandwidth on a prepaid basis....

The bandwidth is excellent, totally unshaped - far better than WebAfrica, they use Cybersmart as back-haul provider with Seacom providing internet access.

Haven't come across an honest ISP; besides this one - speak with Reuben, best to call him on the numbers mentioned at the bottom end of their webpage.

Got them from the starting of this month, so far so good. Downloading from Torrents, News servers etc and no problems so far.
Signing up was a breeze but Telkom line took about 5 days to get up and running to 4MB line. (I was on 384k)
Although it says 4 to 10Mbps my line is a 4MB line from Telkom so speed test have given me 3.4MBs max.

3.4m bs is right for 4mp speedtest, your limited to 4096 line, not the product :)
my 4mb package and 6mb line get to 4.9-5, where when i had 4mb 3.5mbs

Its 50 bucks per Gig.

All other products have "line rental included"

mmmm does new act not state your force to sell without bundle also? ( i know its not in play until april)

yeah, i'm with TRL too. cannot afford uncapped 4meg atm. got their line rental for R370 and a 30GB cap. hopefully soon i can upgrade to 50GB cap.

That's a very good price! Just be careful of the FUP, you might end up paying over R2k

We do not bill you anything extra when it comes to our FUP. The price on our website is the price you'll pay - no strings attached.

We have recently changed our FUP (this will be changed on our website shortly):

Generally if you follow the guidelines below, no shaping would be applied to your account:

1. Do the majority of your downloads during 12:30 am - 7am

2. If you continue to download a lot even when you are throttled then the following month you will be put in the throttled pool earlier

3. If you have a month where you do not download anything, then you will be allowed to download more in the following month before being throttled, so only download stuff that you need so that when you need to download a lot, you can

So in short, the initial bandwidth on our shaped uncapped service is unshaped. If you use the guidelines above, you would stay in the unthrottled pool. If you are in violation of the FUP, your service would be throttled until the beginning of the following month.

We only offered redundant pre-paid bandwidth earlier today, with the Seacom problem, which cost R50 per gig.
Our ValueGigs service does not require your line to be transferred to us and starts from R17 per gig: https://www.trltech.co.za/whmcs/cart.php?gid=15

Note that the price drops to R9.50 per gig if you purchase 50GB or more.

Thanks for the update, what would you consider to be a lot of data per month?

Sounds good, except I don't want to move my line. Any chance on Uncapped without line rental offerings coming soon?
