So I see Mybroardband has a news group on telegram with a moerse lot of people.....16(sarcasm) so that got me thinking: do people just don't know about telegram or don't they trust the platform? personal opinion is nr 2 but it would be intersting to know why.

Many people are already committed to whatsapp, too much of a schlep to migrate and the whole privacy scare doesnt bother me.

Most people are of the opinion "everyone uses WA so why must I change". I've been a long time Telegram user (user number 134 500 000 something). Almost everyone I chat with, is on Telegram. WA is just for my boss who refuses to change "because everyone is on WA". I started with the contacts that were on Telegram. If they contacted me on WA, I would reply on Telegram getting the conversation thread going. Eventually they would just contact me directly on Telegram. I also make a point of greeting a contact that suddenly appears on Telegram.

You that guy huh :P

I use both but my bigest gripe with Telegram is that the other person can delete your messages. Not sure if it is a setting somewhere or if it is just a ridiculous "feature".

you can lead a horse to water, but cant make it drink.

after the privacy scare with WA, people installed telegram, and just forgot about it.
gone back to the warm embrace of FB, as its what they know well.
