Hackers recently defaced three government websites, and SITA has made one website unhackable

So SITA is running Squid 2.5 Stable 14, when the current latest release is 3.2...

I'm pretty sure there are a few exploits in Squid 2.5 that haven't been patched just yet.

Try unusal ports.

Some distro's put SSH on port 222 (for example).

Yeah, in linux cause its open source, most vulnerabilities are known.

When a vulnerability is exposed patches normally come out in hours or at the most a day (though there are very exceptions). Unlike Apple and Microsoft where you sometimes wait months to years for it to get patched.
