TS9 Antenna performance

I recently signed up for Telkom March Big Deal with a Huawei 5573 WIFI modem.

I seem to be in a very dead spot for Telkom. I see all the possible connection options, 2G, 3G and 4G, but the signals are very weak. Only 2G is useable, but deadly slow.

Has anyone used an external TS9 antenna on their modem, and what was the result?

Antennas with TS9 are not very common.

You can get an antenna with a SMA or another connector and then get a TS9 adapter that is compatible with the connector on the antenna.

Alternatively, if one of the windows in your house has a good signal, leave the modem next to the window and connect to it over WiFi.
