I dont think Ill ever call it Tshwane. And I dont have to because like the guys say, the city is still PTA.
If I ever meet you I will correct you!![]()
No, the city is still called Pretoria. The weather map shows cities on it, not the name of metropols. So the abr[eviation] on the weather should be changed right?
And how exactly will you do that when you're wrong, hmmm?

Side note : it's "abbr." not "abr".
So the the weather is correct.
WHy would I be wrong? If I say where do you stay and you say Pretoria, I say where you say Menlyn, is Menlyn in Pretoria or Tshwane?
I pay tax, I'm not whiteMetropole = Whites pay tax, locations demands and destroy or trash.
Thats what the majority wants.
Wiki may not be up to date. I know the SABC regularly gets complaints because it uses Tshwane for the whole area in it's bulletins.Change of name
On 26 May 2005 the South African Geographical Names Council (SAGNC), which is linked to the Directorate of Heritage in the Department of Arts and Culture, approved changing the name of Pretoria to Tshwane, which is already the name of the Metropolitan Municipality [2] in which Pretoria, and a number of surrounding towns are located. Although the name change has been approved by the SAGNC, it has not yet been approved by the Minister of Arts and Culture, Pallo Jordan, as of 31 May 2006. The matter is currently under consideration while he has requested further research on the matter. Should the Minister approve the name change, the name will be published in the Government Gazette, giving the public opportunity to comment on the matter. The Minister can then refer the public response back to the SAGNC, before presenting his recommendation before parliament, who will vote on the change. Various public interest groups have warned that the name change will be challenged in court, should the minister approve the renaming. The long process involved made it unlikely the name would change in 2006, if ever, even assuming the Minister had approved the change early in the year 2006.
I'd like to see you try and correct me.If I ever meet you I will correct you!![]()

Menlyn is in Tshwane, it is not part of Pretoria, no matter how you look at it, Pretoria is only the a part of the city center, that is how it was since Pretorius forced his name on the area.
