Hi

Is anyone else having constant issues with ttConnect and their network? I have had Fibre in my house for 3 weeks and only 6 days in total where it was working fine.

Seems like every other day it is constantly dropping, off or slow.

They're currently installing fibre to my complex, but after doing the research, I'm sticking with my ADSL.

1. Hellopeter is full of issues, negative reviews and responses that are not helpful.
2. Mybroadband has other threads like this one where their infrastructure is slated, and their service response are deemed nonexistent.
3. Woe betide thee if thou art using their partner ISP Fredd. Similar story for complaints for this company across various online platforms
4. Relative has had combination of TT Connect and Afrihost and has had various issues with downtime and slow speeds.

I'd be interested to hear how they respond to your issues.

Stay on ADSL muuuch more stable

If This side of Edenvale could get VDSL id move back

i cannot understand how they are still operating i wish dare i say even Vodacom just buy them out.

The TT Techs have no clue what is going on and what to do and run a stable network

Most of us here on these forums can run more stable infrastructure.

Openserve is laying ariel fiber in the avenues and surrounding and i think im gonna move to them

I dont even think their CEO has an IT background could be wrong here

I've got Vuma & TTConnect laying trenched fibre outside my home.

After extensive research & speaking to various ISP's - it's clear that TTConnect is an awful choice in most regions.

You're not the only one.

I have no other option as so far only ttConnect has laid cables. Might keep my ADSL and try upgrade to VDSL then. THought the fibre would be a little more stable. All i want is the upload speed.

TT Connect ran into our area (Farrarmere) in January 2018. Our line went active around mind April 2018. My neighbors went live the same day. His stopped working the day afterwards and mine was fine. Over the course of the 3 and the half months the line has been stable, with the downtime being due to maintenance or power outages. However in comparison to a few people in the same area who have TT Connect they have been having absolute hell with service, getting any information from their call center or any after hours support for line faults is non existent.

Our experience with TT from the day they started trenching to the fibre being active was one of either great ease or frustration. The contractors who did the trenching were decent and reinstated the property as to how it was prior(Vuma's contractors were atrocious with this), the floating of the fibre took 3 days to get a time when the technicians actually arrived to do the job, the splicing then took another month to get half done due to the main box not having power and then 4 resplices afterwards and some port hopping to get the fibre to actually get an active sync. We recently took the vuma fibre thats in the area too and that took a sum total of 30 hours from placing order to having an active sync on the line and being live with CISP.

Might do a side by side review of both service providers from they day their contractors' spades broke ground to the day the FX light went wild.
