For every LCD/tv one buys, does yearly/monthly tv license amount increase? By how much if yes? Tx guys

tv license?? what's that??

It's like a driving license, you have to go take a test and watch, change the channel, change the volume and then you hopefully get your license.

They should recover that money from all the dead people and people who don't have TV's they wont leave alone though...

Paying for the TV licence in its current form is better than the proposal to tax everyone an extra 1% on your net income.

Not quite, each license covers up to a maximum of 4 Tv signal receiving (capable) units.

My LCD 'TV' does not have a built in receiver (digital or analogue), I don't have satellite and my Nokia and Car deck are the only devices capable of receiving radio signals, does this mean I don't need a TV license?

Any hardware capable of receiving a television signal, either satellite or terrestrial and regardless of whether you use the capability or not, by law requires a television license. It does not apply to streaming over data networks so if I understand it correctly DSTv's Drifta-jobbie should also be exempt.

So if you don't have anything that can receive a normal tv broadcast you don't need a tv license.

Not so sure about that:

"Q: Our family has more than one television set. How many TV licences do we need?

A: A single domestic licence is required per household, provided that: all sets so licensed are used only at the licence holder's residential premises; all sets so licensed are used only by members of the licence holder's family."
