What does the manual say?

The normal connection would be the coaxial one with the supplied cable between the TV and the sound bar. Coax out on the TV to coax in on the sound bar..
If the Tv has an optical output you can use that with the appropriate cable. Last resort would be the Aux input again with the correct cable if the TV has an aux output.

The decode stays connected via HDMI to the TV.

The manual doesn't say much. It only tells about the operating instructions not the connection towards TV and DStv
It states below
Please Note: Use a standard Coax cable( Do not use an AV cable) to receive the digital signal from another device. Cable suggested - RG6/U Shielded with gold plated connectors...

Thanks again for your help
So where can I get this Coax cable?
bcz my TV doesn't support Aux and Optical

Get a cable like the one below and connect the soundbar to the TV using this cable, plugged into the port marked aux.. the TV will have the same port..

Thanks guys I managed with Aux. I ddn't notice the Aux part on my tv

The decoder should have a optical out, but honestly the sound bar isn't great. I had one for 2 years and I eventually just gave it away.

I do not know how long sound bars have been around ( I have resisted spending the money) but just installed one last week and I have been blown away with its easy set up - multiple inputs and beyond my wildest dreams sound quality - even the analogue turntable sounds great !:)
