Twisp - Electronic cigs

I would have hey but having done a bit of research, they have not tested the smoke it produces, which means it is somewhat unknown and while it does not feel as heavy as cigi smoke without some testing you do not know.

Ah okay i see i see. Pity, looks like a very promising product..
I just think its very inconvenient, say you go for a jol, you gonna have to carry cartridges, spare battery/batteries .. and atomizer just incase lol. To many little things and if you lose 1 thing you cant do anything :/

Horrible cause the battery dies quite fast as well, well when i drink i smoke a kuk load, also i found everyone wanting to see it annoying.

Mila good for you, i never put on much weight and that would not have worried me as exercise sorts that out but think of the worst mood you can get into, that was my day everyday. Now that i started i am happy, relax and calm. I thought 3 months the mood would go away but damn it got worse.

Mila you just need a guy to help you burn the wight off in a fun way cause exercise can get boring :p

LOLZ!!
I need to do something cause i am gyming for 6months to now seen the diet doc follow the diet strictly and li still got fat. Very sad..I long for malva pud with custard :) but i'm strong.

I just feel i have wasted so much money on the stuff people say you should do when you want to lose weight ( the right way) that i do not trust anything any more everybody is a qwak :)

Simple mila, don't over eat and exercise :), sometimes these diets cause more problems than good. Rather give your body why it craves and make sure you do some exercise, should be fine then :). The worst is craving food, i think if i had a slower metabolism i would have gained tons of weight, cause i ate alot of junk :).

YOu see that is my problem i was a skinny bitch when i ate like a take away queen.

Now i do the healthy thing and i'm fat?? But hell i think it;s because i was horrible to fat people all my life now i'm porky too :( My bad carma bit me on the ass

LOL well porkie is not, hopefully not worse than that because damn any worse than porkie must be a bitch to get gone :).

Those of you who are using the Twisp - what's your take on them ?

I've been using mine for about a week now:-

With a new cartridge and charged battery they provide a good hit, but when either the cartridge or battery are not new the effect is drastically reduced.

Cartridges are meant to last the equivalent of 10-15 cigs. Not a chance in hell, more like 3-5 cigs which makes the cartridges very expensive.

Using the drops to replenish the cartridges isn't the same as using a fresh cartridge and I can't figure out why.

Stock availability anywhere in CT is a disaster - no High cartridges or liquid being the biggest problem. And really, there are far too few retailers.

The red light is a bit naf.....

If the cartridges were available at the cost of 5 cigs it would be cost-effective.

The benefits are a lack of smoke stink on your breath and no toxins going into the body - so I'll press on ;)

Twisp - The Electronic Cigarette

I smoke about 30 to 40 cigarettes a day (Camel Filter). Apart from the known health issues it is a serious waste of money. A non-smoking friend recommended I try Twisp - an electronic cigarette. Has anyone tried this, how does it taste, what's the strength like?

What bothers me about this product is that the smoke never ends. Sure, it has a time-out, but, if you just "puff" slowly enough, you can keep it going for 3 hours before it's fuel is used up.

i.e. You could sit there with this thing hanging out of your mouth for the entire day, ingesting massive amounts of nicotine and actually raising your dependence on nicotine.

It could end up costing you more than cigarettes cost you.

Well I just ordered one. I thought I might as well give it a shot. It hasn't arrived yet, but from what I have read, I am not pleased to hear that the cartridges barely last long at all. I ordered a starter pack along with an additional 5 cartridges, so I guess I will just have to wait and see how long it lasts me. Seems a bit ridiculous that they're marketing the thing as a cheaper alternative when 5 cartridges (R90 including postage) make for a total of 50 cigarettes. If you buy the cheaper boxes (Voyager, Aspen, etc.), you actually end up paying far less...

Those 5 cartridges will run out much faster than you can order them, you should have also ordered a bottle of liquid so you can see which is better.

Kas the drops go much further i was using maybe 15 drops a day and the bottle lasted well over a week. I just found the battery charging was annoying so often. Make sure you always keep a charged battery with you and if your on the road a lot get a car charger.

I found the nice thing with the twisp was i would suck on it maybe 15 times an hour as opposed to a cigi which you will finish everytime. Just concerns me that the smoke inhaled has yet to be tested, not saying cigi smoke is any better but atleast we know it's bad the twisp we don't know either way.

Well, there is no burning tobacco or ash so it's not really ' smoking '.

You do get strange looks when you ' light up ' indoors though ....

Killadoob - do you find refilling with the drops is just not the same as the original cartridges ?

Are cartridges available yet ?

Yes by a mile, i used to put a drop on the atomiser rather because refilling it leaked in my mouth whcih was not cool.

I preferred the drop to even a new cartridge in all honesty.

I prefer new cartridges - 3 drops of liquid as a refill just doesn't work for me.

Unfortunately have just been to the local stockist and now they say they won't have any stock until the 18th or 19th.

As the whole of Cape Town has had no stock of cartridges for the last two weeks there is going to be a huge waiting list so I hope they will be delivering hundreds to each retailer.

You see now this pisses me off. I got my e-cig yesterday. First off I charged the battery over night, and it didn't even last the whole morning. Not to mention that I have gone through two cartridges since I received this thing yesterday afternoon. Killa you say you go through a bottle of liquid a week; that's R200 a week, as opposed to the +-R140 I was spending previously. So how in the hell does this work out cheaper? Not only have I forked out R700 for the starter kit, I now have to spend R200 a week just to keep the thing working?

I'm sorry that is f*cking ridiculous.

No the bottle will go further if you put it on the atomized, refilling the cartridges you go through a lot, drops on the atomizer will last longer.

Also i think you may be using it the wrong way, your not suppose to suck on it as much as you did on your cigi's, have a couple puffs and don't sit for a straight hour sucking on it. It's just a nicotine delivery system like a cigi but with a cigi we feel the need to suck down the whole thing instead of puff puff plus nipping cigi's the whole time is smelly. You need to puff puff then do whateva puff puff if you get my meaning, not puff puff puff etc for an hour :p

There is no point giving up now bud, get the drops and try it before you give up. Yes there is a reason they give you 2 batteries :p always have one charge :).
