Twitter suspends UberTwitter

Twitter on Friday suspended UberTwitter, and twidroyd applications in a clash with a startup that controls a fifth of the "tweets" at the hot microblogging service.

Been wondering why my twidroyd had not been updating.
Did a manual refresh and then got the tweet from twitter support.

Sucks as I dig twidroyd.

I only use twitter to keep up to date with the latest tech. Well that and Kim Kardashian's fine ass.

Twidroyd has tweeted that they are coming out with a new version soon that does not go against the API.

Heard more players got banned - they want the limitation of twitter to be 140 characters - not to be extended by more and for UberTwitter or now to be named UberSocial to generate cash...

This was ongoing since last year March 2010 but no ubertwitter didn't obey the rules - but once the new version will be out - No writing tweeting in excess of 140 characters.
