Now it's my turn to brag about my (admittedly modest) builds :D

I am doing a bit of a revamp of my current rig, going to change it to two: one for LANs and one for proper gaming and video editing at home.

Specs:
Gaming/Video Editing rig
Intel Core i7 920 (overclocked to 4GHz) with Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme
ASUS Rampage II Extreme
3 x 2GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1600
XFX HD4850 XXX (to be replaced by an NVIDIA GTX380 when it is released, just need something to hold me over until then)
Corsair HX1000W
Coolermaster HAF932
3 x 1.5TB Seagate Barracuda SATA
Logitech G9
Logitech G19
Samsung T260
Razer Destructor
Logitech Z-5500
LiteOn SATA DVD writer

LAN rig
Intel Core2Quad Q6600
Gigabyte GA-G31-ES2C (or maybe my current ASUS Striker Extreme)
2GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800
NVIDIA 8800GT (to be replaced by the XFX HD4850 XXX when the NVIDIA GTX380 is bought)
3 x 320GB Seagate Barracude SATA
Thermaltake ToughPower 500W
Samsung P2250
Logitech G5
Logitech G15
Logitech G35
Cheapie handle case :p

OK, got that out of my system :D

Did you win the lotto or something...? :p:D

He's a techie that actually knows what he's talking about, which is quite rare...so I'm sure he earns enough :p

Damn man, I'm so jealous man. Thinking of doing the same thing as you with the 4850.

I'm a 19-year-old student, I don't earn nearly enough :p The HD4850 is quite a nice card to replace my current 8800GT with, what are you planning on replacing with it?

I'm getting a new system (parts getting delivered on tuesday) so it'll be my first PCI-E card. It'll be replacing my old P4 agp system so i'm expecting quite a decent boost in performance :p Getting a 720BE, 4gigs corsair DDR3, nice asus board, plus a 4850 to last me until the end of the year.

So have you built those systems yet are are you still in the process of deciding parts etc?

You won't believe the performance increase :)

Ordering the components on Tuesday (been debating whether or not to wait for the GTX380's release), stock should arrive by the middle of August then I'll start building :D

Well, getting everything except for my CPU, CPU cooler and keyboard today. Will hopefully get these parts tomorrow morning :o

Great setup man!
Jeez that's gonna rock!

Thanks, look forward to building it :)

Where do you sleep? On the floor or on the boxes?

I think I'll stay awake tonight :D

No SSD drives... that PC sucks! hahaha.

It's on my "to buy" list after the GTX380 :p
