How do you "believe someone missing". Surely being missing is a binary? You're either there or you're not?
Also on a totally unrelated note, if we can make people missing through the power of belief, can we all believe every ANC member and supporter missing?

It used for saying that it is the general opinion of most people that something is true although it has not been proved. e.g. A third man is missing and is believed to have been taken into police custody.

If getting dunked in the Jukskei is part of your faith then thats something that needs to be reconsidered.
Baptism is silly for many reasons which can be debated in another thread but standing in a polluted river during a hailstorm is Darwin award.
Its a shitty way to go but they had poor judgement here.

When I read that headline I somehow knew already this must be in the Klein Jukskei in my area.
I've seen these baptism sessions all over the place, it's an eyesore to be honest, but each to his own I guess.
Maybe next time invest in some poole noodles in case jesus is on a lunch break again.
The other day I was riding past this sign higher up the Klein Jukskei thinking "how the hell does someone drown here!? This is not rocket science: rain comes, you move away from the river".... another failure of common sense it seems.

We had lots of tiny spruities where I grew up.
The problem is it can rain upriver and be sunny where you are standing.
As a kid I got to know that water very well, you see it twitching you get out of it's path.
More than once I watched it turn from a placid little stream into a wall of water.
