Uber One launches in South Africa — with money back for late deliveries

Uber has announced the launch of Uber One — a subscription service for its ride-hailing and delivery services — for R50 a month or R500 a year.

The company is doing away with its Uber Eats Pass subscription, meaning customers will have to sign up to the more expensive Uber One to receive the benefits for food orders.

Great - this will make them ride around even worse than now (if that is even remotely possible).
The moment you tie "safe driving" to "be late and get penalised" the road rules go first.

The biggest problem with food deliveries is not late orders, its the restaurants getting the orders wrong or forgetting items on the order.

Uber and Mr D does not punish them sufficiently. The best you can hope for is to get a credit for what was missing. Where is the disincentive for the restaurant to not do it again?
