Now I'm sure this is a Unity issue due to my hatred of it, but I could be wrong.

Basically I got Skype and all was going well. But during a chat, I closed the main Skype window (with all the contacts) so I just had the chat window open and now I cant get that window back. If I view whats running on the Unity panel thing, it only has one Skype icon - the chat window. Looking online, there should be an icon in the "indicator applet" but theres nothing?

So, how do I get my window with my contacts back so I can start a new chat?

Oh, and I've tried re-launching Skype, it just gives me the "a version of Skype is already running"

Thanks,
Sysem

Don't use unity but on the unity panel don't you have some small triangles that indicate how many windows an app has open, maybe by clicking on those triangles you can bring the window to the front again.

Yeah, I did that. When both were open, it was fine. But once I closed the contacts window, it wont show as 2 open in the panel.

I edited my post above, have a look at the links I posted as it seems to describe your problem with solutions.

Thanks, I seem to have got it in the system tray now. Think I need to brush up on my Googling skills!
