New features in Ubuntu 9.04 is the famous GNOME 2.26 desktop environment, which brings lots and lots of improvements in many areas, such as Evolution, GNOME Control Center, GNOME Media, GNOME Power Manager, etc. Ubuntu 9.04's kernel will be based on the latest version of Linux kernel 2.6.28, which will offer support for many new devices (wireless, webcams, etc). Moreover, applications such as OpenOffice.org 3.0.1, The GIMP 2.6.6, Mozilla Firefox 3.0.7, Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.19, Transmission 1.51 or Pidgin 2.5.5 will also be present in the final version of Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope), due for release on April 23rd.
 
Those are not new themes, they are already available in the repos. (intrepid)

"community themes" I think, I have it installed.
 
I think those themes are considered new as they are becoming part of the default..
Last night community-themes was removed and replaced with gnome-themes-ubuntu, which is now a canonical supported package..
 
My ubuntu 9.04 has a major bug in nautilus which crashes my system and being a n00b i couldn't fix it (I'm capped so no ubuntu-forums for me and using msn live's cache to view it is unbearable). i changed to kde as a last resort and miss my themes. My favourite default theme though is Clearlooks

9.04 is still in beta... so I'm not suprised it has "major bugs". It will all be sorted out in good time, so don't worry about it.
 
Has anyone tried Evolution with the MAPI Exchange connector yet? How does it compare with the old OWA hack ?
 
The themes look pretty much the same everybody is used to. That's not too charismatic in my opinion. What I am looking for is stable resume/suspend functionality for my laptop and evolution sync with my e50. I am looking forward to 9.04's boot time, though.
