Ubuntu for mobile phones

Windows Mobile is the only Microsoft based sollution that runs on ARM. I wonder if windows 7 will support ARM ? Symbian is doing pretty well on ARM.

Hopefully this works on the HTC P4350 - then I'll be overjoyed! :D Wheeeee

Nice.. the more devices that get *nix on them and the more people aware the better!
Only problem being, will it interface with sExchange, which is what most people want their smartphones to do in a business environment.

This will be pretty cool... just imagine the speed at which the phones will run then

Windows 7 will need to be completely rewritten for ARM. I think they'll spruce up Windows Mobile rather than trying to convert W7.

Nice to have a bit of competition in that market segment. Now you'll be able to enable all your cellphone functions and not worry about picking up a nasty trojan or virus :)

i hope the iphone derivative will be able to run it's existing apps. that way, there'll be no reason to stay in apple's little monopolistic prison.

So Micro$haft has no answer then - cuase winmo is crap - and if you spruce up crap you get more crap. This is a sweet move to get rid of Mickey$not on netbooks.

I just hope that camp Symbian will rise to the occasion - especially with the touchscreen abilities of V5. I waited for ARM based PC for a while now - good to see Linux pushing for it.
