I've applied yesterday (saw the successful application screen) but its not reflecting in the application history. Should I re-apply again or do I have to go the offices to apply in person?

Update: Got confirmation for application. Looks like it just took some time to be processed.

Hi All,

Quick q, as I am new to this. I am registered my company for EMP201. I employ 1 person at R6080 per month. Does the attached declaration look correct?

And then, do I still then have to submit via the UIF website?

Make sure you are paying it already even if nobody told you to do so otherwise you’ll end up like me needing to a pay a few grand down the line with penalties even asking on a monthly basis what I should be paying and never getting a response.

Needless to say my new employee I’m just paying the money and didn’t register because it was such a **** show when I tried to do the right thing before.

I honestly wasn't aware of this.:oops::oops: How would I know how much I need to contribute and banking account details? My previous employer(under contract) handled the UIF contribution

No I’m referring to you as the employer, as an employee you have nothing to do.

I begged them month after month for confirmation the UIF is active, and how much I need to pay and where and got nothing back.

I gave up and a year later she resigned and suddenly UIF woke up and nailed me on penalties and every payment they never advised me to make after paying repeatedly.

Now I simply won’t take the risk again.
