UK honour attacks

Stoning for a person who commits adultery is not only for females, it is for males too. This is undder the condition that there were/are four witnesses to the act of adultery. Now this again goes into a whole detailed explanation of how to trial such people. If you seriously interested in this let me know so i can get the information for you.

I won't make you go to effort I can go to myself, but thanks for the offer.

I must comment though, that morally, stoning anyone (male or female) to death because of adultery is absolutely unconscionable and quite sickening.

As for Muslims not able to befriend a non-muslim, you are looking at it too deep in a sense that Muslims and Non-Muslims have different ways and practises. At some point the action(s) of the Non-Muslim will be against Islamic Law, like drinking alcohol, like eating non-halaal foods etc. I have many non-muslim friends, actually my best friend is a non-muslim, but I know where to draw the line. I hope you understand what im trying to say (?)

Yes, which leads me to this:

any other question I didnt answer ?

This is the thing though, it's all about interpretation.

You can be sensible about it, but it can be interpreted to mean something different to someone else. That is to me the real danger of any religious text. The fact that each group insists their interpretation is the correct one, simply doesn't make it so.

A person who gets married and is unfaithful to their partner has caused a severe injustice to everyone. They should be held accountable for their indecent behaviour. A person has to be extremely immoral and unethical to go such extremes and commit adultery.

This reminds me of a business associate ( tycoon if I may add), he ( 50 years of age ) slept with his daughters best friend and made her pregnant, but ended up marrying her.TAKE NOTE ! The commnunity did not stone them. Not long after he lost his faithful wife, kids , wealth, respect and dignity. Thats how Immoral people lose the blessings in their lives. And thats what Islam tries to protect us from. Islam is not a religion, it is a way of life. Its unfortunate Islam is not practised wholly by Muslims, but thats our test. Be a prisoner of your desires OR control it.

Stoning people for adultery is morally unconscionable, however you slice it.

If you honestly tell me that people deserve to die because of it, and this is what real Islam is all about, then indeed, it is a dangerous and sick religion.

*edit*

I understand your desire to help people with their immoral behaviour, and your religion's role in this (although I'm sure we'd have major disagreements on what's immoral and what is not). But if you think such a thing is deserving of death, you really have your moral system a bit confused, as far as I can tell.

I personally wouldnt do it, but to some extent I think its deserved.
Dude... that is fscked up.

Divorce and adultery are civil matters. I don't see why the state should be involved.

That and saying you wouldn't personally do it but being happy for some other nameless system to do it is hypocritical. If you support the death penalty in any form you had better be prepared to pull the switch yourself.

BS and smoke and mirrors, as usual.

Sharia protects the 'superior men' and the women have fskall chance of equal rights or a fair trial.

Whoopee-doo, the sentence of stoning is for both male and female, but the fact that the women's testimony is worth a fraction of a mans, there's fskall chance that the man involved in an adulterous affair will get stoned.

The men even have a work-around to fsk prostitutes - temporary marriages.

Is a woman allowed more than one husband in Islam, seeing as the men may have multiple wives, just because the one that wrote the book had a harem of bevies.

Disgusting.

You're one of a kind, how do you do it ?

That morality is subjective and so the best you could hope for is a system that just ensures we don't infringe on each other's human rights and attempts to leave us to do our own thing for the most part without imposing any particular religious view onto us in the form of laws?

I agree entirely if this is where you're going with this.

You see in an Islamic country, you need to follow this law.

Since we live in a country that does not have these laws, you will find adultery/fornication as a norm and then you get this disease called Aids spreading like wildfire.

I've made my point so .... Peace, out !

Yeah, about that... from what I can gather, 1/4 of the worlds Muslims are in Africa, and according to some estimations, it's the biggest religion in Africa.

Africa, you know. AIDS capitol of the world? :erm:

Afaik Aids is predominately a problem in sub-Saharan Africa. Islam is prevalent in North Africa.

Reading up a bit, there are quite a couple of predominantly Muslim countries in Africa, that are ravaged by AIDS.

In any case, AIDS has far more to do with poverty and education, so it was a pretty crap example on my part really.

What I can say, is that in those situations, the Islamic response to AIDS is a very stupid one, abstinence and all that naive stupidity.

Not if that country is a constitutional democracy that recognises human rights you don't.

Only if it is a government that feels it has a right to force it's religion onto everyone regardless of whether or not they practice that religion... an idea I find horrific.

I don't have HIV. I don't sleep around. I don't find it normal at all. I find the idea of it morally repulsive in fact. I regard it as a total betrayal of your spouse. However I understand that my personal feelings on the matter don't really matter because you can't force someone not to sleep with other people. You have no right to do that.

I've made my point so .... Peace, out !
You haven't really.
