Ultimate Edition 2.4 is allmost out guys. if any 1 wants I can leak it to you maybe? I have exclusive access to it. Cause I'm a mirror searcher! :)

You can download it from here I believe
http://ultimateedition.unixheads.org/

Any local mirror FTP server for this 2.4 Gb file

Code:
http://ultimateedition.unixheads.org/ultimate-edition-2.4-x64.iso

http://ultimateedition.unixheads.org/ultimate-edition-2.4-x86.iso

Tried to install on VMware Workstation (boot via iso file) will not boot beyond splashscreen
Same problem when I tried to install on a desktop, downloaded file seems ok on the DVD

It just seems to hang

I guess the 32bit ISO is broken then. Only downloaded them from the links on the first page of this thread and moved to the web server folder.

Will see if I can find MD5 checksums to test and perhaps re-download.

Yeah, mine timed out last night, so just re-started download from the unixheads link, was still going strong this morning! :D

Not sure what the actual MD5SUM is - mine is the following
f666c59377e69b541743a4fb4f35aa52 ultimate-edition-2.4-x86.iso
8732760a7d021879c26a9a8d73cc79da ultimate-edition-2.4-x64.iso

That is the correct MD5 for the x86 version, you would have to check on the Ultimate Edition Forums if it's the correct MD5 for the x64 version.

My download from unixheads was corrupted, as per the MD5 checksums, so I ended up downloaded 4.8Gb instead of 2.4Gb. Oh well, at least the second download from the main server was successful.

When I did load the LiveCD, it gave me a "frequency out of range" message. A bit of research told me that this has something to do with the graphics card output, and seems specific to the 7600 series. Anyway, the answer was to "Ctrl-Alt-(-) or (+)" until I at least had an image to install Ultimate Edition. The error persists after an install, but downloading and installing the latest drivers from Nvidia fixed this.

What I see so far, I like. Will carry on with it later when I get home, only restored my mail and bookmarks, then it was 00:00 , and I had to work today! :D
