Ultrasonic spectacle cleaner

You know that damages the coating on the glasses
i have a few pairs of specs & prescription sunglasses.
the specs i use most often (multifocals) have no coating at all.
2nd most used (single vision) have "anti-dazzle" coating - they have been doing fine.

the prescription sunnys i use most have "anti-dazzle". - - or more correctly, used to have "anti dazzle".
about 80% of the coating is gone.
interestingly i have tried giving the lenses a hard workover with isopropyl to try get rid of what is left of the coating - to no avail.
i'll have to send them in for polishing - although it is probably time for replacement

I got this delivered today and just used it now. I put a spot or two of sunlight in, filled the basin and after switching on you could immediately see the streaks of grime streaking from under the rim that I had the issue with. After the 3 minute cycle, I dried with the supplied cloth and I have to say I'm quite impressed with the results. Tipping out the water you could see a lot of grit and general kak in the water, so it does work although I reckon I'll need to do this a few times for spotlessness. So I have to say this is a nice purchase and I'm initially pleased with it.
i wonder if i can request my re-gifted cleaner back

so curiosity got the better of me - the whole ultrasonic thing.

i hauled out 3 toothbrushes - a toothbrush obviously works on a different frequency.
so here i used the toothbrush to physically clean the hinges, nose pieces, frame (where lens meets glass etc.
the guinea pig was the multifocals in an oakley frame.

the brushes:

oh my
tried 1st with the oral-b - "intense mode"
there was nothing left to clean - other brushes did not get to the starting block.

i have never seen the oakly logo / badge thingey so clean - there was always a bit of dirt somewhere - not now

i'll be ordering one of those cleaners shortly !!!

**oh
i had never bothered about the bluetooth function - again curiosity got the better of me.
downloaded the app, paired the brush, but alas - the app has now seized control of the toothbrush and is insisting i brush my teeth so it can tell me if i'm doing it right or not !!

Anyone use these and if it works well for you, can you recommend one?

Or how do you clean your glasses?

A dab of Sunlight liquid or soap. Water. Leica lens dealer in Europe told me that's the best way to clean their lenses.
