I'm trying ti sign up or the Uncapped LTE service from Telkom.

Attached in the coverage map. I'm right on the edge, but tested it with a B593 LTE modem and Telkom LTE sim and reception works perfect.

Telkom agent contact me this morning, and they cannot offer me the service as I fall outside the coverage area. According to the agent, the uncapped LTE and normal LTE (which I tested) are not from the same base station.

So I proposed using the address opposite the road which falls in the indicated area, to which I was told that I already have a Telkom account with my address registered outside the area, plus the call is recorded and I already confirmed my address.

Any advise from here? I though about getting a local technician to confirm the test and reception, but how to get hold of one again proposes and issue.

They are talking bull-crap regarding the different base stations, they have no idea which one serves you, and its a 99% probabliity that its the one you are trying to apply for.

The uncapped deal is limited to selected areas, and its limited from a sales perspective (i.e. they wont sell outside the propose coverage) not a coverage or technology perspective.

I suggest you get an address of someone that lives within the promo and apply with that. They are being typical Telkom by literally refusing to sell you a R700 contract due to internal processes. You are basically throwing money at them and they still refuse.

That's why the company is in such S@#t, their sales teams/processes are not designed to maximise sales.

Yeah they changed it recently ,have to be in the area to get the deal now. Luckily I got before they had this restrictions :P

You can try in store but will be at 699 a month.

get your wife/gf/mom to sign up with the other address
