Uncapped Wireless Cape Town

Hi I am very new to this coming off telkom ADSL. I recently moved to Plattekloof and am unable to get ADSL. It was extremely difficult to getting a home phone line. I contacted Uninet who have not responded as yet, however I am looking for suggestions as it is very important for work that I have internet and that it be uncapped as some of the files I download can be quite large. I do not need peer to peer or gaming.
Also what is the contention ratio I am reading about?

why not rather just try to get wimax first, believe me you don't want a uncapped wisp connection. Most uncapped accounts is 64K with a content ratio of 20:1 meaning all 20 people share that. And almost if not all wisps block p2p on their uncapped accounts.

Okay so how do I get wiimax in my area? I dont think I want to share bandwith with 20 people, in fact that would be quite useless.

Thats okay, got a buddy who warned me already. After he cancelled they came and removed and refused to refund his deposit or something...the owner apparently vowed never to give him a cent back.
