Underrated shows

So with our new showmax subscription we started watching a show called Whitechapel. Found it very decent and severely under-rated. Never heard of it before and even on a recent poll on the top UK crime solver shows it did not make the list despite there being over 25 other shows there, many of which I have seen and sucked compared to it.

So it made me think, what other great and yet under-rated and overlooked shows are out there? They often get cancelled undeservedly.

For me:
Outsourced (only 1 season but very funny)
Whitechapel
Firefly (had to include it despite its current cult status, was underrated at the time)

The 100 was ok until the whole Allie thing. Maybe if it didn't drag on so long it would have been alright. The only reason I finished the season was for the sake of completion otherwise imo it was no longer worth watching.

I don't see Weeds, Stranger things and the 100 as underrated.

-Weeds had 8 season you don't get to 8 seasons without being highly rated.
-Stranger things is probably the most popular TV series right now and has been renewed.
-The 100 is one of the most watched shows on TV and is going to season 4.

Underrated for me was
-TV series called "V" 2009-2011
-The big C
-Jericho

Recently "The Living and The Dead" most people haven't heard of it but I'm not sure if its underrated

Also, rating of what? The shows mentioned in this thread probably didn't have a huge following but the people who did watch rated it highly (especially true of Firefly).

Sp what are we looking for? Shows that have low IMDB \ any other rating versus shows that didn't generate a following and got canned or are currently-underwatched?

"Almost Human" - imdb rating of 8.1 but cancelled after one season.

"Forever" - imdb rating of 8.3 but also cancelled after one season.

Many people pay attention to Firefly and Stranger Things to its not included.

Id say - The American's. Critically acclaimed on almost every platform but very few have heard of it.

Halt and Catch Fire - definitely.
Banshee - maybe
