Unexpected TV replacement

IMHO they are helping you within the allocated time even though parts are not available for your original unit - and hardware failure happens to every brand including everybody's darling Samsung ..... though not everyone else has the 4 year warranty (so if you have a Samsung you are pretty much forked if it borks past the warranty period) - so if you do suffer hardware failure within the warranty period with Hisense you know for a fact you are covered for at least 4 years ..... i will definitely give Hisense their due for that

Yup mine borked out in December, 14 months old, they came and replaced the mobo last week.

Nah - you get discretionary good will credit. My Samsung developed clouding after warranty and gave me a credit
 
I'm super curious how you are enjoying the U8K? I'm also considering one, 65" but also have been considering the TCL c745 or c755.

and then I am ordering the 65" u8k from Kloppers for R19,999 . If anyone has any experience with the samsung any feedback would be appreciated./
