Uniform to Work?

I can still remember when we had to refer to managers as Mr Smith and Mr Jones (no women). Thank goodness that crap has stopped.

I am prone to safari suits for some reason this year. Bloody comfortable as well.

Aqua blue with short pants is a nice look. If you have short sleeves then a long sleeve shirt underneath is of course necessary. Do you put a comb in your sock?

I felt like the right old racist bastard last week, you don't really get business owners in Southern Namibia that are English speakers (1st language) , mostly Afrikaner folk.....
A courier company arrived last week, The driver got out and kept on referring to me , as "My Baas," ... fekking hate that and stop them, telling them to refer to me as Your Highness or Your Excellency, it just sounds better in English......

Formal January to December :p
Just my choice not compulsory

I went from a super corporate where you had to have a collared shirt and fancy shoes and pants to one that is so relaxed now you can wear whatever and you don't even need to shave.

Tattoos aren't a problem either.

Oddly enough I haven't gone for shorts and plakkies because of the air con and riding a bike to work means redressing.

So jeans and a golf shirt beginning of the week which tapers down to a tshirt later.

I've always worn safely boots at work because I leave them there.

Depends on the day, at the office somedays just shorts, clients; dress according to client dress code, but never a tie or suit, haven't worn a tie for 10 years and was always viewed as a rebel in corporate because I refused to conform, wore a tie maybe once a week when it was expected as the daily norm.

Shorts if I'm doing my own thing; longs if I am working with others (mostly because I am hung and don't want my one-eyed friend turning up at meetings unannounced).

Suit.

Some days I lose the tie and suit jacket thing though. Prefer wearing a coat...

My circuit team manager (the person in charge of about 20-30 schools in an area) said the other day ... : "Dress for the position you aspire to."

I wear Cat suede shoes or Bova work boots, chino's trousers, Woolworths polyester shirts with sleeves rolled up. On Fridays the men on our staff wear ties and we tend to dress more sharply.

On sports days (Tuesdays and Thursdays) we can come to school in our school track suit with our school golf shirts.

I used to dress in shirt, tie, etc when working in finance. At SARB they've been known to kick people out of meetings for wearing the wrong color tie.
Then I ended up in mining, where its only frowned on if you don't wear safety gear on site. Since then its mostly jeans, a comfortable shirt and shoes. Unless its a meeting with vip's. But **** the tie. I don't do ties.
