We have uniforms at work, but many (about 70%) do not wear them as it looks really stupid.

If it's a sane one. Was much the same at my school - nobody bitched about it because it was a sane one (black jeans and golf shirt).

Button down shirt and chinos/jeans most of the time.

Fridays is wear whatsoever. Some people do the shorts thing, I can't.

Couple of my clients do this for the ladies but the office managers hate when it's time to choose a new outfit (Queenspark catalogue I believe), trying to get a bunch of women to agree on office fashion is frightening to witness - instant cliques.
